Kill It, Cook It, Eat It

I was talking with some people the other day about an Italian game show where the contestants taste something and try to guess what part of Italy the food is from. I tried to find out more about this game show online, but nothing turned up. If you know anything about it, let me know. It would be fun to see the show!
What I did turn up, however, was something a bit less refined, but nonetheless interesting. A game show is coming out in the UK called Kill It, Cook It, Eat It. It caught my eye because it helps connect the participants and viewers with the source of their food which is a big part of the goal behind the restaurant. Of course, a game show format has a hugely different style, possibly more like Jerry Springer than a visit to the farm, but it does show that a wide range of people are interested in this connection to their food.
Take a look at the gory details of the show below!

Do you ever find yourself indulging in a meat feast and wondering how the animal made its way to your plate? Presenter Richard Johnson is here to bring together the two key moments that are usually separated in our lives and minds: the death of the animal and the eating of its meat.<!-- p-->
In each programme, we trace the journey of one animal from its life on the farm to its fate at a small working abattoir. At the abattoir, a group of specially invited people, from vegetarians to meat enthusiasts, will witness the slaughter.

They'll also see how the carcass is prepared, with our butcher breaking it down and explaining the different cuts of meat. Our chef Rachel Green will then demonstrate what to do with them. Once the meal is ready, the audience is invited to taste the meat. But after witnessing the entire process, will they have the stomach for it?<!-- p-->
