You May Have Heard...

...that The Linkery has moved to its new location. That means that we're moving into their old space.

There's some good zen there... and some new paint. Elena loves colors and decorating, so every so often I'll get a call where she's about ready to scream with excitement about how cool the space looks. Sometimes she actually does scream! And somehow all the excitement allows her to be energetic even on very little sleep. I, however, am a bastillion of calm and level headed thinking, despite having drunk too much at our dinner tonight at The Ritual. We shared the meat loaf and chatted with the owner, Michael, about the restaurant business. I guess the beer was really good because it made me want to avoid driving after we left. So here I am at the computer instead, talking with all of you. The coming week is going to be hectic. It's all about dedicating the time and attention needed to get a thousand and one little things done to add up to one big thing, that of opening a restaurant. And I suppose it's really like any other project I've worked on throughout my life, just that it tastes better. I sure am hungry!

Welcome to the neighborhood.

Will you have a raw bar?
The uni bisque sounds sublime.

admin — Thu, 05/22/2008 - 15:47The photo Dennis posted is of our "operations center" at the bar, and the funky swirly decorations on the walls beyond (in case you were wondering!) is the glue left behind when we pulled all of the old chalkboards off the wall. Don't worry, we'll have it all cleaned up nicely by the time you get here...
:-)
