Super Sci-Fi Floor Cleaner

We've been testing out and using various green/natural products here at Sea Rocket Bistro for a while, but until recently, we had not quite found the right floor cleaner/degreaser that could match the effects of a strong commercial brand without adding toxins into the environment. Commercial kitchen floors get pretty nasty during the day with food debris, oily stove splatterings, and other forms of dirt, no matter how careful you are while you work. So when I came across this bio-remediating restaurant cleaner, I was very excited.
As stated on their website, bioremediation is "the use of living microbes to transform undesirable and harmful substances into non-toxic compounds." Since it's a totally natural process, it would seem like a low-tech solution, yet the way that it works is realistically nature's hi-tech way of purging toxins from its own system. The story goes that it was originally developed as a marine cleaner for use by the military and other industry, and is dumped en masse into the ocean to clean up large oil spills like Exxon Valdez. Since it was specifically formulated to get oil out of water and reduces build-up and clogging of plumbing by disolving any grime sitting in the pipes, you can see how it would make the perfect restaurant cleaner!
Because the solution contains microbial enzymes, another interesting fact about this cleaner is that it requires dilution in cool, cold, or room temperature water- not hot- so that the enzymes that eat through the fats and oils do not get killed before they can do their work. Which makes this cleaner even more eco-friendly since no energy is being used to heat the water used to distribute it! Cool stuff.

That is awesome. I hope the

Good question

They use huge cone-bottomed mixing tanks with large, rotating paddles to mix the ingredients of the product together--very simple and low-tech!
