On Thursday, February 19th at 7pm, Sea Rocket Bistro will be hosting a 4-course dinner featuring beer pairings from our friends at Lightning Brewery in Poway. Lightning has been on the San Diego craft brewing scene only a few years, but has quickly become known to produce excellent traditional German style beers. This is the menu we've selected to best highlight the different flavor profiles of four of them.

Elemental Pilsner paired with a Seasonal Green Salad tossed with Pilsner vinaigrette
A clean, crisp, refresing traditional German lager beer
Thunderweizen with our Market Fish Ceviche
A smooth unfiltered wheat beer, made with respect to the German Purity Act of 1516
American Amber with our Local Ground Lamb and Pinquito Bean Chili
An American version of a classic UK “Premium Bitters" but more malty, more bitter, and higher in alcohol content
(a Grilled Portabello Mushroom Sandwich will be available as an alternative for vegetarians)
Porter with a Porter Chocolate Cake
This Baltic Porter is a blending of 9 different malts, with only malted then roasted barley rather than adding coffee and cocoa extracts to produce the desired flavors

Each course will include a 12 ounce pour of beer and the $40 cost will include all food and alcohol, but not tax or gratuity.
